Key Responsibilities:
As a Bakery Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring that only the highest quality baked goods are produced and presented for our guests. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Adhering to and measuring recipes accurately
  • Mixing, scaling, and baking a diverse range of products
  • Setting up and breaking down equipment properly
  • Operating commercial kitchen machinery
  • Collaborating with team members to deliver outstanding guest service
  • Performing general cleaning and housekeeping tasks
  • Practicing safe work habits consistently
  • Communicating effectively with team members, vendors, and guests
  • Completing additional tasks as assigned

Qualifications:
To succeed in this role, candidates should possess:
  • Previous education in culinary arts
  • 1-2 years of experience in bakery production or deli environments
  • Experience in a high-volume bakery setting
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Basic knife skills and knowledge of cake decoration
  • The ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Understanding of basic food safety standards
  • Strong communication, customer service, multitasking, and time management skills
  • Flexibility to work various hours and shifts

Physical Requirements:
This position involves extensive walking and standing throughout the shift, as well as the ability to climb or ascend as needed. Candidates should be prepared to:
  • Kneel, squat, and bend from floor to waist and waist to overhead
  • Reach overhead and perform fine hand manipulation tasks
  • Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Handle cleaning duties and use cleaning chemicals
