Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Pastry Sous Chef to join our team at Marvin Love and Associates. As a key member of our pastry department, you will assist the Pastry Chef in creating and executing pastry menus, preparing and decorating a variety of pastries, desserts, and baked goods, and ensuring that all products meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist the Pastry Chef in menu planning and execution.
  2. Prepare and decorate pastries, desserts, and baked goods for display and sale.
  3. Supervise and train the pastry team to ensure high-quality products.
  4. Maintain a clean and organized pastry kitchen, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  5. Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operation of pastry production.
  6. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and new pastry techniques.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Pastry Sous Chef or similar role.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Strong knowledge of pastry techniques and ingredients.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and creativity.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
