Automation Specialist

**Job Summary:**
Implement designs and programming that exceed customer expectations in the fluid process industry.
**Responsibilities:**
* Meet with customers to discuss requirements
* Implement requirements in standardized and user-friendly PLC and HMI designs
* Commission systems in-house and on-site at customer facilities across the US
* Handle fast-paced and challenging projects
* Grow and expand skills as an individual and as part of a world-class engineering team
**Requirements:**
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer Engineering
* PLC programming experience (Allen-Bradley PLC5, SLC, Logix; other platforms a plus)
* HMI design experience (Wonderware, FactoryTalk View; other platforms a plus)
* Knowledge of common industrial networks (EtherNet/IP, DeviceNet, ControlNet)
* Low-voltage electrical design and layout (UL 508A panel design knowledge a plus)
* Strong technical writing and communication skills
* Knowledge or adaptability to the fluid process industry
* Familiar with control panel assembly/wiring, installation, and electrical power distribution equipment
**Preferred Qualifications:**
* Experience with motor controls, relays, metering units, PLCs, VFDs, transformers, chart recorders, and other electrical equipment (AC/DC low and medium-voltage; some high-voltage applications up to 480VAC 3 Phase)
* Ability to troubleshoot electrical issues using a Fluke Meter
* Strong knowledge of instrumentation, including setup, configuration, and troubleshooting of field equipment
* Ability to create electrical drawings using AutoCAD, including panel layouts, pneumatic drawings, and electrical schematics
* Knowledge of machinery safety circuits/emergency stop control design and mechanical concepts
* Knowledge of electrical conduit runs and wire pull design, including cable trays, cable glands, and disconnect cables
