Job Description

As a Hardware Test Automation Engineer at GE Vernova, you will play a critical role in defining and developing test cases to validate product requirements. Your expertise in automation will enable you to design, develop, and modify automated test suites to meet company release objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the development of new engineering Test Plans specific to Hardware
  • Provide input and review of existing Product Hardware Test Plans
  • Expand defined Product Test Plans into comprehensive test cases
  • Perform defined test cases either manually or by automation to validate against specific product requirements
  • Acquire an expert level understanding of GE Vernova CIC RF Product lines
  • Read and fully understand documentation and engineering specifications that are public, private, and/or provided by customers
  • Create and configure test environments, including LabVIEW, Test STAND, and Robot Framework
  • Perform tests and experiments to validate and/or recreate customer reported issues
  • Report Product defects as discovered into Jira Database
  • Utilize Jira system to track work activities
  • Document Test cases and manual test procedures using Jira
  • Develop and maintain specific product automated test suites
  • Develop test suites within RobotFramework
  • Maintain existing Automation developed previously in LabVIEW
  • Ability to develop new test automation including but not limited to LabVIEW
  • Execute all tests developed (manual and automated) and report results in Jira
  • Maintain the lab environment for the engineering organization including equipment calibrations and repairs
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent experience/training
  • Minimum of 3 years engineering experience
  • Ability to work in a team and as an individual
  • Ability to prioritize work and be responsible for multiple projects at the same time
  • Solid understanding of engineering technical issues as related to test development
  • Solid understanding of RF communications and networking
  • Strong background with LabVIEW and Robot Framework automations
  • Strong background in Manual Hardware Testing
