About the Role:
AtkinsRéalis is seeking a highly skilled Design Manager II to lead our capital projects team. As a key member of our Building Engineering Unit, you will be responsible for managing a multi-disciplined team of planners, architects, engineers, and other professionals to guide the planning, design, permitting, procurement, construction, and activation of various airport capital improvement projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage a team of professionals to develop and present preliminary design-alternatives and comparative-analysis to address requests and/or concerns from LAWA leadership and/or project stakeholders throughout the planning & design process
* Coordinate with Clients & Stakeholders to develop a Business Case for potential Capital Projects
* Review planning & design submittals for completeness, accuracy, and conformance to the applicable project requirements, and provide meaningful & constructive feedback to the planning & design team
* Solicit feedback from internal and external project stakeholders, and guide design teams through competing interests and projects constraints to ensure the best possible outcomes with respect to quality, cost, schedule, sustainability, resiliency, innovation, user-experience, constructability, operational flexibility, maintainability, etc.
Requirements:
* Bachelors or Masters Degree in Architecture, Engineering, and/or related field
* Minimum 10+ Years of Professional Experience, preferably on large complex airport capital projects
* Licensed Architect or Engineer is desirable (but not required)
* Optional Certifications such as AAAE, CASp, LEED, PMP, etc. are desirable
* Experienced with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, PowerBI, etc.)
* Familiar with Planning & Design Software (AutoDesk, Sketchup, etc.)

Expected Compensation Range:
The expected compensation range is between $115,000 - $125,000 annually depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
Background Check:
Upon acceptance of an offer, all candidates must go through a drug screen test and background check. AtkinsRéalis is a federal contractor which mandates a satisfactory background screening report and drug test that supersedes state laws.
