Graphic Designer

Job Summary:
The Graphic Designer II position at California State University is responsible for creating artistic and graphic designs for print and multimedia materials. This role requires a strong understanding of design principles, communication theory, and marketing concepts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conceptualize, design, and create a wide range of materials, including printed materials, exhibits, training sessions, television broadcasts, videos, websites, and public information projects.
- Develop and evaluate effective communication strategies and techniques.
- Provide expertise in graphic design, production principles, and copyright laws applicable to photo and design work.
- Collaborate with faculty, staff, and students to interpret and translate their needs into effective visual formats.
- Manage multiple projects, work under deadline conditions, and maintain a high level of quality control.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in fine arts, graphic design, or a related field.
- Minimum of two years of professional design and production experience.
- Comprehensive knowledge of graphic design software, including Adobe Creative Suite.
- Superior skills in planning, coordinating, and directing graphic art communications projects.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of University guidelines and standards.
- Copy editing and proofreading skills.
