Job Summary

The Associate Project Engineer will be responsible for leading the development of new products from concept to launch. This includes working with cross-functional teams to design, prototype, test, and manufacture products that meet the needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain project plans and timelines to ensure timely completion of tasks
  • Collaborate with surgeons and other stakeholders to determine functional and design specifications for new products
  • Design and develop instruments and implants using Pro/E and SolidWorks software
  • Partner with in-house prototype shop and outside vendors for rapid prototyping and evaluation
  • Perform design verification and validation activities to ensure designs meet specifications
  • Assist in the writing of regulatory applications to the FDA and other regulatory bodies
  • Participate in product introductions through sales training, customer calls/visits, etc.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years experience in mechanical design engineering; Medical device experience strongly preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Bioengineering, Biomedical Engineering or a similar degree
  • Proficiency in Pro/E and/or SolidWorks software for design and drafting
  • Well organized, detail oriented, and team player capable of working in a deadline driven environment
