Job Title: Operations Specialist - Medical Practice

Join Oswego Health, a leading healthcare provider in Oswego County, as an Operations Specialist - Medical Practice. In this critical role, you will drive standardization and continuous process improvement within the operations of our Medical Practice.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive Standardization and Efficiency: Monitor and manage operational processes to ensure efficiency within the practices.
  • Identify Areas for Improvement: Identify operational areas for improvement, support the clinics in implementing these strategies, and address operational issues with the practice managers.
  • Update Standard Operating Procedures: Update standard operating procedures and associated policies as they change.
  • Improve Workflows: Continuously improve and standardize workflows within the Medical Practice, including patient scheduling, provider templates, financial clearance, and clinical workflow development.
  • Monitor and Report Metrics: Monitor and report on key metrics related to standardization and improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Education and Experience: Associates Degree required, Bachelor Degree preferred. 3-5 years' relevant experience in a medical practice setting.
  • Skills and Abilities: Strong presentation and communication skills, experience in auditing staff workflows, and proficiency in office software.
Working Conditions:
  • Extended Periods of Sitting: Extended periods of sitting, using standard office equipment.
  • Occasional Lifting: Occasionally requires lifting, pushing or pulling up to 15 lbs. using proper body mechanics.
