Position Overview:
The role of the Shift Supervisor is pivotal in ensuring operational excellence within our manufacturing environment. You will oversee the 2nd shift operations, reporting directly to the Production Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and implement a comprehensive safety program to ensure a secure working environment for all team members.
- Recruit, train, and mentor a diverse team of over 30 employees, fostering their professional growth and development.
- Champion safety initiatives and serve as the leader of the safety team.
- Conduct daily pre-shift meetings to discuss production goals, quality issues, and safety matters.
- Build and maintain strong employee relationships to enhance satisfaction and engagement, providing coaching and discipline as necessary.
- Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager to ensure timely maintenance and repair of plant equipment.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing setting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Experience in Thermoforming processes is highly desirable.
- A bachelor's degree is preferred; however, equivalent experience will be considered.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
