About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and safety-focused Maintenance/Laborer to join our team at US Aggregates. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our plant, including daily maintenance, equipment operation, and repairs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform daily maintenance tasks, including shoveling, sweeping, and general plant housekeeping
  • Operate heavy equipment, such as loaders, skid steers, and haul trucks, to maintain plant production
  • Assist in performing plant repairs and maintenance when the plant is not in operation
  • Ensure all equipment is properly fueled, oiled, and greased, and that safety manuals are understood
  • Conduct pre-shift and end-of-shift checks on equipment and perform necessary maintenance
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to company safety procedures and protocols
  • Communicate effectively with management and staff on equipment conditions and potential improvements
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • MSHA certification, part 46
  • Experience in limestone mining
  • Problem-solving skills and self-motivation
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Working Conditions

This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent exposure to extreme weather conditions. You must be able to stand or walk for long periods, ascend and descend railcars, ladders, and stairways, and lift up to 50 pounds.
