About the Role

As a CBRE Building Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities' mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. This includes performing routine maintenance, repairs, and upgrades to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.

This role is part of our Engineering and Technical Services team, responsible for providing support and maintenance services to our clients. You will work closely with our team to identify and resolve issues, and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of our equipment.

To be successful in this role, you must be able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. You should also be comfortable with extensive travel within the Portland area and be able to lift and carry heavy loads of up to 50 pounds.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee maintenance and repairs to mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
  • Review and implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure optimal performance and efficiency
  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance tasks to identify and resolve issues
  • Collaborate with the Engineering and Technical Services team to implement repairs and upgrades
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and company directives
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field preferred
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in building maintenance, mechanical systems, or a related field
  • Commercial HVAC and electrical systems maintenance and repair experience required
  • EPA certification and valid driver's license required
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy loads of up to 50 pounds
