Job Title: Building Controls Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Building Controls Engineer to join our team at The Building People. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing expert services related to the retro commissioning and calibration of existing control systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the calibration, point-to-point checkout, programming, and testing of Direct Digital Control (DDC) building automation and control systems.
  • Work with project managers and subcontractors to meet project requirements and ensure timely completion.
  • Help maintain accurate and thorough project documentation and redlines.
  • Complete sensor calibrations on HVAC control systems and optimize equipment operation through PID loop tuning.
  • Assist with project sub-contractors, specifically test and balance contractors, and implement programming, graphics, and sequences of operations for DDC Systems.
Requirements:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Previous experience with Niagara 4 workbench software.
  • Strong analytical skills and thorough understanding of DDC Control Theory and Applications as related to HVAC equipment.
  • At least 1 year of experience with programming, startup, and/or commissioning of control systems.
Physical Requirements:

Physically able to climb overhead or crawl under spaces to complete jobs.
