Transformative Opportunity in Pediatric Nephrology

The Children's Hospital of Richmond at Virginia Commonwealth University is seeking a visionary Assistant or Associate Professor (non-tenured) clinician to join our esteemed Pediatric Nephrology Division. As a key member of our academic unit, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of pediatric nephrology care, education, and research.

Key Responsibilities:

Teaching and Mentorship: You will provide exceptional teaching and mentorship to medical students, residents, and fellows, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation in pediatric nephrology.

Research and Innovation: We encourage and support your research endeavors, enabling you to participate in clinical, translational, and outcomes research that drives meaningful advancements in the field.

Service and Leadership: As a faculty member, you will contribute to departmental and School of Medicine level committees, promoting collaboration and advancing the interests of our institution.

Clinical Excellence: You will serve as a skilled Nephrologist for the Department of Pediatrics, providing high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team.

Administrative and Professional Responsibilities: You will take on administrative duties associated with this role, including professional activities such as journal review, conference presentations, and other scholarly pursuits.

Required Qualifications:
Board certification in pediatricsBoard certification or board eligibility in pediatric nephrologyExperience with clinical care of patientsExperience in an academic medical centerDemonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment or commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU
