VCU Health - MCV Physicians is seeking a skilled Nephrology Physician Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care in transplant and general nephrology, focusing on inpatient and outpatient settings. Your expertise will ensure efficient and high-quality patient care, while also contributing to our educational and research activities.
Responsibilities:
- Provide compassionate, efficient, and high-quality patient care in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Participate in management of patients on the Nephrology consult service, ensuring 24/7/365 coverage.
- Teach and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows, using adult teaching methods that enhance active learning and professional development.
- Engage in research, developing an area of expertise and achieving recognition as a scholar.
- Collaborate with institutional staff and administration to achieve VCU Health System's strategic objectives, including patient safety, satisfaction, and fiscal health.
Requirements:
- Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine and Nephrology.
- Completion of an accredited fellowship in General Nephrology.
- Direct experience in managing complex inpatients and outpatients, with a solid understanding of the hospitalist role and function.
- Demonstrated ability to work as a team member and effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
- Experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment.
