About the Role

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist Level II to join our team in a dynamic and patient-centered environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform radiographic diagnostic imaging procedures to assist physicians in the diagnosis of disease and injuries.
  • Operate radiographic equipment to produce high-quality images of the body.
  • Ensure optimal diagnostic quality of patient care by utilizing efficient and safe processes.
  • Prepare and position patients for diagnostic imaging procedures.
  • Adjust immobilization devices to obtain optimal views of specified areas of the body.
  • Determine exposure factors based on patient height, weight, and body portion involved.
  • Operate mobile radiologic equipment in operating rooms, emergency rooms, or at patient bedsides.
  • Assist radiologists and other qualified physicians in fluoroscopic and special x-ray examinations.
  • Prepare images for reading by radiologists or requesting physicians.
  • Process images and review for proper identification and quality control.
  • Perform routine maintenance, diagnose malfunctions, and make minor repairs on radiologic equipment.
  • Practice radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patients and staff.
  • Complete forms and maintain records, logs, and reports of work performed.
  • Orient new staff and train students.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
  • Certified Radiologic Technologist - Venipuncture Certificate (California) required.
  • Radiologic Technologist Certificate (California) required.
  • Certified Radiologic Technologist - Fluoroscopy Certificate (California) required.
  • Basic Life Support required.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
