Job Summary

As a Tire & Battery Center Technician at Sam's Club, you will play a crucial role in providing safe and efficient service in both sales and service areas of the department. You will work collaboratively with other associates to ensure the club meets the member's expectations. Your primary responsibilities will include collaborating with team members to fulfill sales and service requests, educating other associates on tools, tasks, resources, and mentoring new technicians. You will also be responsible for communicating and developing interpersonal skills for providing safe and efficient customer service. Additionally, you will demonstrate knowledge of safety and compliance protocols, tire and battery industry guidelines, service standards, equipment operations, TPMS, product specifications, and seasonality. You will leverage digital tools to plan for and drive sales, improve the service experience, and elevate associate engagement. You will also operate cash registers, process transactions, and work hands-on in the physical area. You will maintain accurate inventory, audit, safety, and compliance standards, and report TBC complaints, safety hazards, and problems with products, services, and work areas. You will also complete paperwork, logs, and other required documentation, and ensure merchandise is packaged, labeled, and stored in accordance with company policies and procedures. You will identify member needs, assist members with purchasing decisions, and resolve issues and concerns. You will also be a brand advocate by valuing the member's experience in the TBC area and modeling high-quality service and products. You will develop, influence, and inspire others for working in a style that is respectful, supportive, and team-oriented. You will also comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans, using the Open Door Policy, and applying these in executing business processes and practices. You will complete work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources, collaborating with managers, co-workers, customers, and other business partners, identifying priorities, deadlines, and expectations, carrying out tasks, communicating progress and information, determining and recommending ways to address improvement opportunities, and adapting to and learning from change, difficulties, and feedback.

Education and Training
Live Better U is a company-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. Programs range from high school completion to bachelor's degrees, including English Language Learning and short-form certificates. Tuition, books, and fees are completely paid for by Walmart.

Compensation
The hourly wage range for this position is $17.00 to $24.00. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

Minimum Qualifications
Valid state-issued driver's license. Acknowledge that the position for which you are applying requires you to successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments within a prescribed time period if you receive the position. Must be 18 years of age or older.

Auto service industry, retail experience.
