Position Overview: Cake Decorator

As a Cake Decorator at Fiesta Mart, you will be responsible for creating visually appealing cakes that meet our quality standards. Your role will include:

  • Preparing cake products by adhering to established guidelines and recipes.
  • Utilizing approved baking and decorating techniques to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Training team members in fundamental cake decorating skills.
  • Organizing and maintaining merchandise displays, ensuring a tidy workspace.
  • Accurately following instructions and recipes to achieve desired results.
  • Operating bakery equipment safely and responding to customer inquiries with professionalism.
  • Adhering to food safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Keeping your work area clean and organized at all times.
  • Efficiently restocking supplies and maintaining inventory levels.
  • Demonstrating proficiency in various baking techniques and practices.
  • Collaborating effectively with team members and engaging positively with customers.
Qualifications:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent experience is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to perform tasks such as sitting, pushing, pulling, climbing, kneeling, and crouching.
  • Capable of carrying, lifting, bending, balancing, stooping, and reaching.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, and demonstrate manual dexterity.
  • Effective communication skills, including talking, seeing, hearing, and smelling.
Safety Considerations:
  • Awareness of potential hazards such as loud noise, cluttered workspaces, and contact with irritants.
  • Understanding of risks associated with slippery surfaces, sharp tools, and hazardous equipment.
