Position Summary: Cake DecoratorOur Cake Team Members are true artisans, known for their exceptional skills and creativity. The beauty and quality of their creations are unparalleled. This role involves ensuring the meticulous execution of all cakes, pastries, and desserts. The ideal candidate will have a fervor for decorating and crafting cakes that bring delight to our guests.
Key Responsibilities- Scale, decorate, and produce a variety of desserts, pastries, and cakes.
- Possess a general understanding of production methods and organization within confectionery production.
- Learn new products and techniques, demonstrating proper methods to new team members.
- Maintain sanitization procedures and uphold cleanliness standards in the work area.
- Effectively manage time and prioritize tasks with strong organizational skills.
- Familiarity with recipes and production procedures.
- Ensure cake displays are visually appealing for customers.
- Prepare creams and sauces for cakes and pastries.
- Receive, stock, and store ingredients in an organized manner.
- Notify supervisors of equipment malfunctions and manage inventory levels.
- Perform additional related duties as assigned.
- Knowledge of food production processes, sanitization, and quality control.
- Understanding of food safety, labeling, and nutrition guidelines.
- Preferred background in Confectionery or Food Sciences.
- Food Handler's Certificate is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities.
- Open to feedback for continuous improvement.
