The ideal candidate will be a Senior Cost Engineer/Estimator with extensive experience in developing cost estimates, conducting risk assessments, and managing controls throughout the planning and design stages. This is a full-time position that requires authorization to work in the United States.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate in-house cost estimates utilizing software and estimating programs for Design-Build (DB) and Design-Bid-Build (DBB) projects, covering conceptual and schematic design as well as development and construction documentation.
  • Engage with clients and designers to discuss cost implications.
  • Conduct technical reviews of project constructability and design analysis.
  • Perform change order analyses and reviews.
  • Execute electronic take-offs for various architectural, mechanical, electrical, civil, and structural systems.
  • Travel requirements are minimal, approximately 10% of the time, typically once a quarter for short durations.

Basic Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in preparing cost estimates and conducting takeoffs independently.
  • Proficiency in OST, PlanSwift, RSMeans, or other relevant software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to learn and adapt when faced with challenges.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional Engineer (PE) License.
  • Certified Cost Professional (CCP) Certification or equivalent.
  • Experience working with the Department of Defense (DoD) or other federal agencies.
