Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Estimator to join our team at Bilfinger Inc. in Alexandria, Louisiana. As a Senior Estimator, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and developing detailed cost estimates for industrial construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate estimating activities with a diverse team of Estimators and Project Leaders to complete execution plans, project schedules, and final proposals on multiple projects.
  • Prepare detailed and accurate bid quantity take-offs, and perform job cost analysis by evaluating cost factors related to the project scope.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with our extended client base, and prepare proposal packages and contact vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors via phone, email, and other messaging types for supporting quotations.
  • Prepare bid analysis and present for management review, and perform additional assignments per supervisor's and/or project management's direction.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in industrial construction and estimating required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, and advanced MS Excel skills are critical to success.
  • Ability to read construction drawings and technical specifications, and strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills, along with a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet estimating deadlines in a fast-paced environment, and experience in estimating industrial construction packages including mechanical, piping, civil, and structural steel.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or similar field, and must be able to travel.
