Job Summary

RG Industries is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Pneumatic Business Unit Manager to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth of pneumatic systems and components in the states of Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, West Virginia, and Virginia.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain business relationships with current customers and prospective customers to generate new business for our products and services.
  • Help to develop strategy to increase our pneumatic business, including new suppliers and services.
  • Work with our marketing team to create marketing campaigns designed to generate leads for pneumatic systems and products.
  • Help to develop value propositions for our various products and services, to be utilized by the marketing and sales teams.
  • Prospecting as part of the regular routine ensuring that new prospects are consistently being contacted and added to our sales database.
  • Conducts prompt follow-up of inquiries and leads.
  • Appropriate and effective communication including, but not limited to weekly reports, customer call reports via CRM, expense reports, sales forecast and market intelligence reports.
  • Stays abreast of current marketplace dynamics including competitive issues, products, and new business opportunities.
Requirements
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively establish and maintain relationships at a high level with major customers.
  • Effective listening skills.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to work with engineers to solve their problems.
  • Value-added sales approach.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and follow-up skills.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment.
  • Previous knowledge and possession of good selling techniques and practices.
  • Must have demonstrated abilities to manage multiple tasks with the ability to foster sales growth.
  • Strong time management and goal-setting skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Work Environment
  • Work remotely according to an independently created schedule.
  • 40-50% car travel required – license and good driving record required.
  • Occasional air travel will be required.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, industrial distribution, business, or related field and 5-10 years' experience in pneumatic system or component sales. Certified Fluid Power Pneumatic Specialist preferred.
