About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Culinary Professional to join our team as a Sous Chef at Oakmont Senior Living. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional dining experiences to our residents, family members, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Execution: Collaborate with our culinary team to plan and execute menus that meet the dietary needs and preferences of our residents.
  • Food Preparation and Presentation: Prepare and present high-quality meals that are visually appealing and meet our residents' expectations.
  • Staff Supervision and Training: Supervise and train culinary staff to ensure that they are equipped to provide exceptional service and maintain high standards of food quality and safety.
  • Inventory Management: Manage food and supply inventory to ensure that we have the necessary resources to deliver exceptional dining experiences.
  • Sanitation and Safety: Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: A high school diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of 6 months of experience working in a restaurant or similar environment as a Cook.
  • Skills and Qualifications: Ability to safely operate standard cooking equipment and utensils, proficiency in MS Office programs, and knowledge of assisted living and dementia care.
  • Personal Qualities: Flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to work well under pressure, with a strong commitment to delivering exceptional service and maintaining high standards of food quality and safety.
