We are looking for a highly skilled Clinical Documentation Specialist to join our team at The University of Kansas Health System. As a part-time PRN Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of inpatient medical records.

Responsibilities:
  • Review medical records to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to clarify documentation and improve coding accuracy.
  • Collaborate with HIM coders to ensure accurate and consistent coding practices.
Qualifications:
  • Associate Degree in Nursing or Foreign medical graduate (MD) with CDI certification.
  • 3+ years of clinical experience in an acute care setting.
Compensation:

$90,000 - $110,000 per year
