Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Security Systems Technician to join our team at Allied Universal Technology Services. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for the installation, programming, and configuration of commercial electronic security systems for enterprise clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation and Configuration: Install, program, and configure commercial electronic security systems, including door access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, low voltage communication, electronic locks, point sensors, and signaling devices.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot new installations to ensure systems are functioning properly and meet codes.
  • Leadership: Demonstrate Allied Universal's core values as a highly skilled leader on the installation team.
  • Supervision: Supervise teams comprised of Security Installation Technicians I and II.
  • Project Management: Manage multiple medium- to large-sized jobs simultaneously, ensuring timely completion within approved hours and margin tolerances.
  • Client Service: Drive to client sites with a company-issued vehicle to perform system installation and confirm systems are operating effectively and meet contract requirements.
  • Electrical and Security Device Installation: Install electrical wiring, panels, cables, and security devices.
  • Additional Tasks: Complete miscellaneous tasks as assigned by manager.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of experience in the physical security, fire alarm, or low voltage communication industry, installing field devices, programming systems, and running medium- to large-sized jobs.
  • Software and Hardware Knowledge: Experience with software such as Software House, Lenel, AMAG, S2, Brivo, Milestone, Exacq, Axis, Bosch, Commend, DMP, Open Options, Notifier, Fluidmesh, or ONSSI.
  • Licensing: Possess or have the ability to obtain proper state licensing once hired (Low Voltage D license, Alarm Installer License, etc.).
  • Communication and Troubleshooting Skills: Ability to meet deadlines, work in a fast-paced environment with minimal direction, and possess strong communication skills for effective interaction with internal and external customers.
  • Additional Requirements: Ability to be on-call on a rotational basis, possess a valid driver's license with at least one year of driving experience, a clean driving record, and the ability to safely operate a vehicle.
