We are seeking a highly skilled Loss Prevention Specialist to join our team at Ross Stores, Inc. You will be responsible for monitoring entrances and exits, identifying potential theft indicators, and partnering with store leadership to ensure compliance with loss prevention directives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a visible presence at store entrances and exits, mitigating theft and fraud
- Greet customers in a friendly and courteous manner, deterring opportunity for theft
- Monitor Code 50 package inspection policy and identify potential theft indicators
- Partner with store leadership to ensure compliance with loss prevention directives
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external partners
- Represent and support the Company brand at all times
- Maintain a professional appearance, in accordance with Company dress code
Essential Functions:
Maintaining a Safe and Secure Environment:- Understands that safety is the number one priority and practices safe behaviors
- Provides visible presence, including prominent greetings with eye contact, at store entrances and exits
- Removes clutter and ensures safe, clear egress to emergency exits
- Provides great customer service by greeting customers, making eye contact, smiling, and answering questions in a friendly and courteous manner
- Treats all customers and associates with respect
- Demonstrates courtesy, friendliness, and professionalism at all times
- Monitors entrances and exits as well as sales floor for potential theft by identifying suspicious behavior
- Gathers theft indicators and uses internal or external intelligence to impact shortage trends
- Adheres to Company policy for external theft response
- Increases store awareness on effective processes to minimize operational shortage
- Trains and educates associates on shortage reduction initiatives
