Job Title: Senior Engineering Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineering Technician to join our team at Maldonado-Burkett LLP. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for performing advanced and specialized drafting, calculations, and design work.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform advanced and specialized design work, including drafting and calculations in support of design activities.
  • Develop graphic presentations that include distinctive design features.
  • Prepare roadway design, traffic control, lighting, signal, and intelligent transportation system plans, specifications, and estimates.
  • Review entire sets of plans for format, drafting, and calculation errors and correlation of plans and specifications.
  • Train less experienced technicians.
  • Use additional automated design tools or specialized design procedures in areas including intelligent transportation systems, traffic management, geometric design, signal, and lighting design.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Job-related college education or relevant technical training may be substituted for experience on a year-by-year basis.
  • 15 years in drafting, design, and plan preparation.
  • Experience can be satisfied by Full-Time or prorated Part-Time experience on a year-per-year basis.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Advanced and specialized design/drafting procedures.
  • Computer-aided drafting and design systems.
  • Design and plan preparation methods and requirements.
