Senior Engineering Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineering Technician to join our team at Maldonado-Burkett LLP. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for performing advanced and specialized drafting, calculations, and design work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform advanced and specialized design work, including drafting and calculations in support of design activities.
- Develop graphic presentations that include distinctive design features.
- Prepare roadway design, traffic control, lighting, signal, and intelligent transportation system plans, specifications, and estimates.
- Review entire sets of plans for format, drafting, and calculation errors and correlation of plans and specifications.
- Train less experienced technicians.
- Use additional automated design tools or specialized design procedures in areas including intelligent transportation systems, traffic management, geometric design, signal, and lighting design.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Job-related college education or relevant technical training may be substituted for experience on a year-by-year basis.
- 15 years in drafting, design, and plan preparation.
- Experience can be satisfied by Full-Time or prorated Part-Time experience on a year-per-year basis.
- Effective communication skills.
- Advanced and specialized design/drafting procedures.
- Computer-aided drafting and design systems.
- Design and plan preparation methods and requirements.
- Exercises logic and reasoning to define problems, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Applying engineering principles, practices, and methods in job responsibilities.
