Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our team at the American Red Cross. As a Phlebotomist, you will play a critical role in collecting lifesaving blood donations that are delivered to hospitals. Key Responsibilities
  • Collect blood donations from volunteer donors while ensuring a safe and comfortable environment.
  • Collaborate with your team to create a welcoming and friendly atmosphere for donors.
  • Follow all safety procedures and regulatory requirements to ensure the quality of the blood collected.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to donors and respond to their needs and concerns.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Minimum of one year customer service experience in a public setting.
  • Physical requirements include the ability to lift, push or pull heavy weights, good manual dexterity, and adaptability to long, irregular hours and frequent schedule changes.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior healthcare or phlebotomy experience (CNA, MA, EMT, etc.).
  • Prior leadership experience.
