About the Role

ArcelorMittal North America is seeking a skilled Strategic Sales Liaison to join our Sales team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in driving sales growth and building strong relationships with our customers.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and managing the contracting process. You will also track performance to account sales objectives and execute corrective actions as needed.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive the organization to achieve strategic and tactical objectives related to profitability, volume requirements, pricing, quality, delivery, service, product development, and more.

As a Strategic Sales Liaison, you will be the primary point of contact for your assigned customer base, providing exceptional customer service and support. You will also be responsible for negotiating day-to-day customer-related issues and communicating customer needs and performance back to the sales organization.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain customer relationships, including responding to customer service needs and soliciting new business to support sales plan objectives.
  • Manage the contracting process and communicate customer requirements and expectations.
  • Track performance to account sales objectives and execute corrective actions as needed.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to drive the organization to achieve strategic and tactical objectives.
  • Negotiate day-to-day customer-related issues and communicate customer needs and performance back to the sales organization.
  • Perform customer and market analysis to understand ArcelorMittal NA and competitor capabilities, drivers, price trends, performance, and structures.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • At least 1-3 years of steel experience, preferably in customer service, order management, pricing, and selling in steel industry markets.
  • Ability and willingness to travel (approximately 60%); intermediate skills with Microsoft Suite.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to work and manage through non-traditional work schedules.
  • Demonstrates strong communications skills, both verbal and written.
  • Fully utilizes the system resources and sales tools available, such as C4C: Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Power BI: Delivery & Sales Plan, IBP Forecast tool, GMS, and newly developed future sales tools.
