Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY:

This role is essential for ensuring that the packing area operates smoothly by supplying necessary products.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Verify that all production lines are adequately stocked with products to meet work order requirements.
  • Coordinate with line supervisors to ensure timely delivery of any product shortages before production commences.
  • Confirm that all lot codes and quantities are correctly organized from storage to the packing areas.
  • Maintain a continuous supply of products on the production line to ensure efficient operations.
  • Inspect products for any outdated or damaged items and replace them as necessary.
  • Accurately label and weigh all products returned to storage.
  • Possess a fundamental understanding of the machinery used in the production area.
  • Complete all relevant paperwork accurately and submit it daily.
  • Keep all workspaces clean and organized, ensuring the environment is free from:
    • Signs of pests or debris.
    • Potential safety risks.
    • Follow sanitation protocols as directed by management.
  • Adhere to all operational procedures in both packing and storage areas.
  • Comply with all policies set forth by Whitsons Culinary Group.
Compensation: $16.50/hour

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
  • Proficient computer skills are necessary to navigate company software effectively.
ADDITIONAL SKILLS:
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal, to understand job tasks.
  • Basic mathematical skills and measurement proficiency are essential.
  • Completion of all required training by Whitsons and government standards is mandatory.
  • Forklift operation experience or certification is advantageous.
  • Maintain a positive and professional demeanor at all times.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Frequent sitting, walking, talking, and hearing.
  • Use of hands and fingers to feel, handle, or operate objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms.
  • Standing for the majority of the workday, with regular walking back and forth.
  • Occasional lifting and moving of items up to 50 pounds, including twisting movements.
  • Ability to travel throughout the area daily and out of state when necessary.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Extended hours may be required, including evenings and weekends.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • Work primarily occurs in a manufacturing and warehouse setting, particularly in packing and storage areas.
  • Prolonged standing is required.
  • Movement in and out of storage rooms, near heavy machinery and refrigeration units is necessary.
  • Exposure to extreme temperatures (both hot and cold) due to cooking and refrigeration processes.
  • The noise level in the work environment ranges from moderate to loud.
