The ideal candidate should possess a robust background in business process analysis, requirements gathering, and methodologies for process enhancement. The Functional Analyst SME will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to:
  • Understand existing processes and pinpoint areas for enhancement.

Your Future Duties:
As a key contributor, you will:
  • Review and comprehend current development team processes and procedures.
  • Conduct interviews and perform analyses related to current business processes.
  • Participate in business process modeling sessions, acting as a documentarian or facilitator.
  • Work directly with development teams to ensure understanding of existing processes.
  • Define, implement, and maintain business processes to meet organizational objectives.
  • Audit team artifacts for compliance with established processes.
  • Educate business users responsible for managing existing processes.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business requirements and risks.
  • Facilitate workshops to elicit process requirements.
  • Analyze current process standards to recommend improvements.
  • Research and apply industry best practices as necessary.
  • Utilize best practices for business process analysis and change management.
  • Perform data gathering and root cause analysis to develop process control changes.
  • Prepare communication plans regarding process re-engineering.
  • Monitor and measure process performance, providing feedback.
  • Update documentation on process improvements.
  • Develop training materials as needed.
  • Support development teams on special projects.

Required Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, candidates should have:
  • A Bachelor's degree in business management or a related field.
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and proficiency in communication.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Visio.
  • Knowledge of business process and solution design.
  • Ability to identify areas for process improvement.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with various software development lifecycles.
  • Good organizational and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to manage work with limited direction.
  • Motivation to take initiative and ownership of tasks.
  • Tech-savvy with the ability to articulate responses to end users.
  • Ability to self-learn and build relationships across the organization.

Desired Qualifications:
While not essential, the following skills are preferred:
  • Understanding of Atlassian tools: Jira and Confluence.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft tools, including M365 and Azure DevOps.
  • Related certifications in agile, process improvement, or change management.
  • Good presentation skills.
