We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience with computed tomography equipment and a strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
Key Responsibilities- Operate computed tomography equipment to capture diagnostic images of patients' internal organs and tissues.
- Position patients appropriately to scan specific areas of their bodies.
- Perform regular warm-up sequences on the CT scanner to prolong the life of the X-ray tubes.
- Sterilize radiologic equipment to ensure the safety of patients.
- Correctly interpret doctors' written scanning instructions.
- Administer radiocontrast agents to patients to enhance the visibility of internal organs and tissues.
- Evaluate CT scans to determine whether they are of good technical quality.
- Explain scanning procedures to patients and provide reassurance and support as required.
- BLS and ACLS certification.
- National Institutes of Health (NIH) certification.
- Certified Principal Investigator (CPI) certification.
- Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
- The ability to stand for extended periods.
- Strong technical skills.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Passionate about patient care.
- Requires a minimum of two years of current X-Ray Tech experience.
- Graduate from a fully accredited Radiology Tech program.
- Active unencumbered Radiology Tech Oregon state license.
- One year of Epic experience.
- ARRT certification.
