We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at UnitedHealth Group. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will play a crucial role in performing diagnostic examinations and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Anatomical Orientation: Identify anatomical orientation on images and ensure proper file identification.
  • Radiographic Procedures: Demonstrate competency in radiographic procedures and equipment operation.
  • Patient Care: Greet patients, obtain history, and enter information into a computer system.
  • X-ray Performance: Perform x-rays at optimal quality and protect patients from excessive radiation.
  • Mentorship and Support: Obtain patient vital signs and provide instruction/mentoring to new hires.
  • CPR Certification and Confidentiality: Maintain CPR certification, adhere to Standards of Care, and protect patient confidentiality.
  • Positive Patient Experience: Ensure a positive patient experience, collaborate with healthcare teams, and submit images of diagnostic quality.
  • Operational Efficiency: Contribute to efficient operations, maximize productivity, and adhere to regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • Certification and Education: Possess ARRT certification, high school diploma, or equivalent.
  • Technical Skills: Demonstrated ability to use computerized systems and devices.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Ability to follow instructions, communicate effectively, and work with diverse populations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced Degree and Experience: Associate degree or Baccalaureate degree in radiography, radiation therapy, or nuclear medicine, and 1+ years of experience in general radiologic technology.

Benefits:

UnitedHealth Group offers a comprehensive benefits package, competitive pay, and opportunities for professional growth and development. This is a New York State position with an hourly range of $23.22 to $45.43.
