Position Summary

As a Culinary Operations Supervisor, you will oversee the training, management, and supervision of our food service operations. Your role will be crucial in ensuring that food is prepared and served in appropriate quantities and meets our high standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain work schedules while preparing production records.
  • Direct daily operational activities to ensure smooth service delivery.
  • Ensure food production adheres to safety and quality standards as per company policies.
  • Organize food storage to maintain a safe and hazard-free environment.
  • Oversee serving schedules to guarantee compliance with menu specifications.
  • Uphold sanitation standards in accordance with health and safety regulations.
  • Conduct weekly inventory checks following departmental guidelines.
  • Manage vendor orders to ensure accurate production levels.
  • Implement cost-effective practices in food service operations.
  • Supervise, evaluate, and mentor team members to enhance their skills and morale.
  • Maintain a safe working environment free from hazards.
  • Train and guide new food service staff.
  • Keep detailed logs of equipment maintenance and perform necessary preventative maintenance.
  • Justify the need for equipment replacements to meet operational demands.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in multitasking and managing various responsibilities.
  • Assist the Food Service Director with additional tasks as required.
  • Fill in for absent team members as necessary.
  • Ensure timely preparation and delivery of daily catering orders.
  • Be available for occasional evening and weekend catered events.
  • Participate in food service meetings and maintain open communication with staff.
  • Perform cashier duties when needed.
  • Foster positive public relations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend verbal instructions.
  • Completion of a sanitation course within the first year of employment.
  • Basic arithmetic skills.
  • Ability to maintain emotional control in stressful situations.
  • Strong interpersonal resolution skills.
  • Excellent organizational abilities.
  • Minimum educational requirement: High school diploma or equivalent.
