Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team at Aramark. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of food items according to production guidelines and standardized recipes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook food items according to production guidelines and standardized recipes
  • Set up workstation with all necessary ingredients and equipment
  • Measure, weigh, mix, chop, trim, and peel food items as needed
  • Safely use a variety of utensils, including knives
  • Operate equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers, etc.
  • Bake, roast, broil, steam, and use various cooking methods on meat, vegetables, and other foods
  • Arrange, garnish, and portion food according to established guidelines
  • Properly store food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures
  • Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils
  • Maintain excellent customer service and positive demeanor towards guests, customers, clients, co-workers, etc.
  • Adhere to Aramark safety policies and procedures, including accurate food safety and sanitation
  • Ensure security of company assets
Requirements
  • Experience as a cook or in a related role required
  • Validated knowledge of basic principles of food preparation, various cooking methods, and food safety regulations
  • Must be able to acquire food safety certification
  • Demonstrate basic math and counting skills
  • Demonstrate interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal
