The Prisma Health Physician - Hospitalist role is a critical part of our healthcare team, responsible for providing quality medical services to patients at Laurens County Memorial Hospital.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality patient care, utilizing sound medical judgment and expertise in surgical and non-surgical work-ups, diagnosis, and treatment.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to educate patients on wellness, prevention, and early detection, providing resources and materials to support patient empowerment.
  • Provide timely and effective consultations, referrals, and follow-up care, ensuring seamless patient transitions and optimal outcomes.
  • Exercise leadership in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices that enhance patient care and safety.
  • Participate in continuing education and professional development, staying current with the latest medical advancements and technologies.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to federal guidelines and regulations regarding patient information.
  • Embody the Prisma Health Vision and Values, upholding the highest standards of professionalism and clinical excellence.

Requirements:

  • Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) from an accredited school.
  • Completion of Residency, with some years of experience required depending on site, setting, or specialty.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in the area of specialty, licensed to practice in the state of South Carolina, and BLS certification.
