Job Summary

The Prisma Health Physician is responsible for the provision of quality medical services to patients of Prisma Health-University Medical Group.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provides high-quality medical care to patients, including diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care.
  • Develops and implements treatment plans in collaboration with other healthcare professionals.
  • Conducts patient education on wellness, prevention, and early detection of health issues.
  • Orders and interprets diagnostic tests, including lab results and imaging studies.
  • Collaborates with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Participates in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date patient records, including electronic medical records.
  • Complies with regulatory requirements and hospital policies.
  • Provides leadership and guidance to team members, including medical staff and support personnel.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) from an accredited school.
  • Completion of Residency program.
  • Board Certification or Board Eligibility in area of specialty.
  • Licensed to practice in the state of South Carolina.
  • BLS certification.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in hospital medicine or related field.
  • Knowledge of electronic medical records and other healthcare technologies.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
