Core Responsibilities:

  • Thoroughly examine work orders and communicate with clients to understand their moving and transportation needs.
  • Carefully wrap and protect furniture and equipment to guarantee their safety during transport.
  • Skillfully lift and handle a variety of delicate, large, and heavy items without causing damage.
  • Efficiently organize items for transport, maximizing space and ensuring effective loading onto the moving vehicle.
  • Safely operate moving vehicles ranging from 10' to 26' in length, following all traffic and safety regulations.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve moving and transportation processes, providing suggestions for enhancements.
  • Ensure all necessary documentation is completed accurately and promptly, maintaining detailed records.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with supervisors, team members, and vendors regarding job-related activities.
  • Take responsibility for the cleanliness and proper maintenance of equipment and the moving vehicle, ensuring they are in excellent working order.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in operating box trucks, specifically those ranging from 10' to 26' in length.
  • Expertise in safely loading, transporting, and unloading fragile, large, and heavy items.
  • Ability to operate a forklift proficiently.
  • Physical fitness and capability to perform demanding tasks related to logistics and transportation.
  • Experience in navigating and utilizing work order systems effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Team-oriented with a collaborative mindset.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Previous experience in logistics or moving services is advantageous. This is a full-time position that offers comprehensive benefits. Minimum Requirements:

Must be at least 18 years of age. Hold a High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent. 1-3 years of experience in moving furniture and equipment. Maintain a valid driver's license. Ability to interact with customers professionally. Strong background in customer service and relations. Excellent communication skills with problem-solving capabilities. Must pass a drug screening and background check.


Job Safety Requirements:

Adhere to strict safety protocols and demonstrate a strong commitment to health and safety guidelines. Compliance with state and federal laws, company policies, and safety regulations is mandatory.


Physical Requirements:

Must be physically capable of lifting and carrying objects weighing up to 50 pounds independently or over 100 pounds with assistance; moving and loading or unloading materials from facilities, vehicles, and carts; pushing and maneuvering carts and dollies.


Skills Required:

Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to translate those skills into efficient processes. Proven ability to build strong, positive relationships with team members and contractors. Demonstrated experience in customer service.
