Our client, a prominent and swiftly growing leader in the Waste Management and Recycling sector, is seeking a dynamic IT executive for their Senior Vice President of Information Technology role. This position involves leading and expanding a talented IT team of over 10 full-time employees and contractors, while actively engaging in the design and execution of strategic IT initiatives. Key Responsibilities

The Senior Vice President of Information Technology will be instrumental in steering the strategic direction and execution of technology systems and processes. Your role will encompass ensuring the effective utilization of technology to foster business expansion, enhance operational efficiency, and improve customer satisfaction.

  • Formulate and execute IT strategies that align with the organization's vision and objectives.
  • Partner with executive leadership to uncover opportunities for technology to provide a competitive advantage in the waste management sector.
  • Oversee the architecture, implementation, and upkeep of the company's IT framework, which includes hardware, software, networks, and telecommunications systems, ensuring their availability, security, and scalability.
  • Establish and maintain robust data management systems and protocols.
  • Develop data governance frameworks to guarantee data accuracy, integrity, and security, leveraging analytics to derive insights for informed decision-making.
  • Lead digital transformation efforts throughout the organization, identifying and integrating innovative technologies to optimize operations and enhance customer experiences.
  • Implement a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy to safeguard the company's IT assets, including data, networks, and systems.
  • Establish risk management protocols to address IT-related risks and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Collaborate with external vendors and technology partners to assess, select, and manage IT solutions and services.
  • Negotiate contracts and ensure adherence to service level agreements.
  • Build and nurture a high-performing IT team, providing mentorship and guidance.
  • Encourage a culture of innovation, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Manage the IT budget, ensuring efficient resource utilization.
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction and operational efficiencies without compromising quality or security.
