Drive Service Excellence with Johnson Controls

As a global leader in smart, healthy, and sustainable buildings, Johnson Controls is seeking a highly skilled HVAC Service Manager to join our team. This role is responsible for leading the service business, driving profitability, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the service business, including labor and material growth, to achieve customer account gross margin delivery and profitability.
  • Develop and execute strategies to drive labor and material growth through technicians and team leads.
  • Manage customer relationships, ensuring satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Oversee employee development and retention, as well as safety program compliance.
  • Procure and maintain fleet and tools inventory.
  • Ensure consistency of delivery systems through supervision and audits of technicians, customer service agents, and others involved in the service delivery process.
  • Review and approve labor and material quotations.
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, accounts payable/receivable, and staffing levels.

Requirements:

  • Technical school training or equivalent experience in the HVAC or building controls industry.
  • Three or more years of management experience in a similar service deliverable environment.
  • Strong ability to prioritize work activities, scheduling, and lead a diverse team.
  • Strong interpersonal, customer service, and negotiating skills.
  • Demonstrated competence in writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic financial accounting experience.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office products and basic Windows environment.

Preferred:

  • Diploma in Electronic or Mechanical Systems.
  • Two years prior experience in the HVAC or building controls industry.
  • Five plus years in a service management role directing a similar service deliverable team.
