Job Summary

As a Per Diem Endoscopy Technician at the University of California, Irvine, you will play a vital role in supporting the Endoscopy Lab team. This position requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Process endoscopes and equipment according to established protocols
  • Transport patients to and from the Endoscopy Lab
  • Manage and maintain supplies and equipment
  • Assist physicians and nurses as needed
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients and staff
Requirements
  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • Prior experience working in a clinical setting or G.I. Lab
  • In good physical and mental health
  • Current BLS certification
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures, and forms
Working Conditions

The majority of the position requires sitting, with approximately 75% of time spent performing clerical functions. Standing and walking are required for approximately 25% of the time. The ability to lift up to 25 pounds is necessary, as well as the dexterity, coordination, and visual and auditory acuity to perform all job responsibilities.
