Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients in the MICU, SICU, Cardiac, PCU, and Stepdown units, utilizing your expertise in hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator management, and medication administration.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring that patients receive comprehensive and coordinated care.
- Monitor and manage patients' conditions, identifying and responding to changes in their status, and making adjustments to their care plans as needed.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members, providing education and support to promote patient understanding and empowerment.
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices that improve patient outcomes and enhance the quality of care.
- 2 years of recent experience in critical care nursing, with a strong foundation in hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator management, and medication administration.
- AHA ACLS, AHA BLS, NIH Stroke Certification, and EPIC experience are required.
- Ability to float to less or like specialties where qualified, with a willingness to adapt to changing patient needs and unit demands.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
