Job Overview:

The Lead Portfolio Accountant will engage across various business sectors and interact regularly with our Executive Management team. Ideal candidates will exhibit qualities such as teamwork, adaptability, and the ability to thrive in a deal-oriented atmosphere, while demonstrating a commitment to executing all tasks with diligence and precision. We offer a relaxed yet professional work setting.

Key Responsibilities:

· Prepare daily and monthly journal entries.

· Complete and maintain balance sheet reconciliations.

· Prepare month-end financial packages for clients and internal stakeholders.

· Review balance sheets and income statements to ensure accuracy.

· Process new vendor requests.

· Manage accounts payable invoices.

· Oversee postings for electronic payments.

· Record closing proceeds from property sales.

· Document payments for property acquisitions.

· Record payments for commissions earned and disbursed.

· Generate ad-hoc reports as required.

Qualifications:

· A Bachelor's degree in accounting is mandatory.

· A minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting and financial statement preparation is essential.

· Experience in single-family or multi-family property management accounting is preferred.

· Familiarity with Propertyware and NetSuite is advantageous.

· Intermediate proficiency in Excel is required.

Skills and Knowledge:

· Ability to prioritize and execute tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.

· Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and implement best practices to enhance the accounting team's efficiency.

· Commitment to continuous improvement and providing exceptional customer service.

· Capability to work independently with minimal supervision.
