Job Description

**Job Title:** Customer Order Specialist

**Reports to:** Director of Customer Experience

**Job Purpose:**

This position provides exceptional customer service by processing customer orders and ensuring they are processed timely and correctly.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Receive and process customer orders in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Track and resolve customer complaints and resolve issues with orders.
  • Interact with sales and customer contacts to provide product support and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure all required order processing information is complete on new and/or existing items.
  • Follow up on quotes, graphic/prepress approvals, incomplete orders, and item specifications to ensure customer needs are met.
  • Prepare weekly customer inventory and job status reports to provide visibility into customer orders.
  • Understand customer needs and clearly communicate them to the appropriate departments to ensure seamless order processing.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the team and ensure customer satisfaction.

**Requirements:**

  • High School Graduate with some College (or related experience)
  • Ability to multitask and work on various projects simultaneously.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Ability to work with others as part of a team as well as individually with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent listening and communicating skills.
  • Proven attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to view and handle stress and stressful situations.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Proven customer service experience.
  • Self-directed/self-motivated.

**Working Conditions:**

  • Office atmosphere conditions.
  • Periodically spends time in the production environment.

**Physical Requirements:**

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and repetitive motion working at a computer.
  • Frequent walking, talking, and hearing. Occasional standing, reaching, and bending.

**PPE Requirements:**

  • Safety glasses, safety-toed shoes, and hearing protection when working on the production floor.
