The Hotel Operations Director will serve as the strategic business leader of property operations, acting as General Manager in their absence. This role oversees Front Office, Retail/Gift Shops, Recreation/Fitness Center, Housekeeping, Security/Loss Prevention, Engineering/Maintenance, Food and Beverage/Culinary, and Event Management departments. The successful candidate will work with direct reports to develop and implement the operations strategy, ensuring alignment with the brand's service strategy and initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Manage profitability and departmental budgets, ensuring financial performance meets brand targets.
- Lead property operations teams, establishing a vision for product and service delivery and championing the brand's service vision.
- Conduct human resources activities, including hiring, performance appraisals, and employee development.
- Tour the property regularly, speaking with employees and guests to understand business needs and assess operational opportunities.
- 2-year degree in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major, with 8 years' experience in management operations, sales, and marketing.
- OR 4-year bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major, with 6 years' experience in management operations, sales, and marketing.
Marriott offers a competitive salary range of $201,000 to $258,000 annually, a bonus program, restricted stock units/stock grants, comprehensive health care benefits, 401(k) plan with up to 5% company match, and other benefits.
