Job Summary:
CPI Card Group is seeking an experienced Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager to oversee the development, management, and implementation of environmental, health, and safety programs across our manufacturing and office environments. This role will coordinate safety training programs, monitor safety and health regulations, and provide technical support to plant and corporate personnel to prevent injuries, illnesses, damage to property, and ensure compliance with federal and state safety and health regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, manage, and implement CPI's environmental, health, and safety programs, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Drive environmental, health, and safety compliance through thorough understanding of CPI's operations, engagement of management, and clear application of EHS regulations.
- Facilitate site safety committee meetings, lead safety action item tracking, and provide regular safety management reviews to the site leadership team.
- Oversee and support supervisors/managers with incident investigation and response, coordinate internal and external resources, develop preventative measures, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop and lead or assist with the development and implementation of EHS policies, procedures, and initiatives to minimize potential loss exposures, recommend risk control techniques, and monitor risk management initiatives.
- Coordinate the annual Safety budget and assist in the development of capital expenditure budgets related to environmental, health, and safety programs.
- Employ a proactive approach to managing workplace safety and accident prevention through Job Hazard Analysis, Behavior-based Safety, and Human & Organizational Performance techniques.
- Support corporate environmental, health, and safety initiatives by participating in company-wide safety council meetings, assisting CPI locations with management of corporate safety communication & awareness programs, and assembling/analyzing KPIs.
- Assist with handling and processing of claims related to employees (Workers Compensation) and customer or property (General Liability) incidents.
Requirements:
- Proven track record of successfully driving cultural safety and health change management.
- Strong organizational and communication skills – effective leadership at all levels.
- Collaborative style, must partner with stakeholders at site location(s) as well as cross-functionally.
- Analytical capabilities required to develop and produce metrics.
- Elementary English proficiency communication skills necessary.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health or similar safety or environmental degree required.
- 5 years of EHS experience; preferably in a manufacturing setting.
- Root Cause Analysis, Behavior-based safety, Human & Organizational Performance experience a plus.
Physical Demands:
- Work spans between plant/manufacturing environment and office environment.
- Requires the ability to sit and stand for long periods of time.
- Requires the ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Must be able to use hands to handle, feel or reach, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
- Some travel required
