Job Summary:
Nuvance Health is seeking a highly skilled Medical Technologist to join our team. As a Medical Technologist, you will play a critical role in analyzing patient specimens and providing clinical information to healthcare workers to diagnose and treat patients.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Perform tests to analyze patient specimens according to laboratory policy and procedure, maintaining competency in all identified sections.
2. Interpret and enter data to prepare patient laboratory reports, communicating and documenting critical and significant results in accordance with laboratory policy.
3. Maintain biomedical equipment according to laboratory policy, performing daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance.
4. Perform quality control and quality assurance to ensure accurate test results, maintaining reagent inventory and storing reagents appropriately.
5. Identify and resolve problems, communicating effectively with staff members and customers to ensure excellent follow-up.
6. Instruct new staff members, on-the-job trainees, residents, and students, documenting teaching and training to ensure required documentation for accrediting agencies.
7. Fulfill all compliance responsibilities related to the position.

Requirements:
Required: Bachelor's Degree
Minimum Experience: zero to six months

Preferred Qualifications:
Graduate of Medical Technology Program. Previous work experience. American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) certification preferred or eligible.
