About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Manager to join our Training and Certification (T&C) Finance team at Amazon. As a key member of this team, you will play a critical role in supporting the growth and success of our business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the Finance Partner for the Training & Certification (T&C) 3rd Party Delivery (Channel) and AWS Cloud Institute (ACI) businesses.
  • Work with Business Partners to build business models, pricing strategies, and value propositions and drive near-term and long-term forecasting.
  • Clearly articulate complex financial data-driven analyses to provide stakeholders with key financial inputs/insights.
  • Identify opportunities to increase operational efficiency through data, modelling, and analysis.
  • Manage competing priorities to complete both ad-hoc and strategic projects.
  • Promote a positive and collaborative culture.
About the Team

We support the Training & Certification (T&C) business, a part of the larger AWS Sales Marketing and Global Services team (SMGS). Our team provides financial results and insights to Director and VP level executives. We are located across the US and communicate with each other regularly, lending a hand and support with positive, flexible mindsets when priorities shift.

Basic Qualifications
  • 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science), or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience.
  • 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business experience.
  • MBA, or CPA.
  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).
  • Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
