Licensed Substance Abuse Counselor

Wexford Health Sources, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor to join our team at the New Hampshire State Prison for Men. As a Licensed Substance Abuse Counselor, you will be responsible for providing direct addiction recovery services and consultation services to inmates.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide routine addiction recovery services, including intake assessments, individual and group intervention, treatment planning, and discharge planning.
- Provide consultation services to facility staff, medical staff, and mental health staff.
- Document all inmate encounters and significant addiction recovery information in SAMS and the Electronic Medical Record.
- Participate in staff meetings and in-service training programs.
- Provide other services relating to the functioning of the addiction recovery department as assigned.
Requirements
- Current license to deliver addiction recovery services in the state of New Hampshire required.
- Current CPR certification required.
- Bachelor's degree in Addiction Recovery, Psychology, Social Work, or related field preferred but not required.
