Job SummaryWexford Health Sources, Inc. is a leading correctional healthcare provider seeking a skilled Licensed Substance Abuse Counselor to join our team. As a key member of our addiction recovery department, you will provide direct addiction recovery services and consultation services to inmates and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide routine addiction recovery services, including intake assessments, individual and group interventions, treatment planning, and discharge planning.
  • Offer consultation services to facility staff, medical staff, and mental health staff as requested.
  • Document all inmate encounters and significant addiction recovery information in SAMS and the Electronic Medical Record.
  • Participate in staff meetings and in-service training programs as offered by Wexford and the New Hampshire Department of Corrections.
  • Provide other services relating to the functioning of the addiction recovery department as assigned.

Requirements
  • Current license (LADC or Licensed Clinical Addiction Counselor) to deliver addiction recovery services in the state of New Hampshire required.
  • Current CPR certification required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Addiction Recovery, Psychology, Social Work, or related field preferred but not required.
  • Professional experience in counseling and guidance, education, public health, rehabilitation counseling, social work, vocational rehabilitation; addiction treatment services or related experience preferred.
